Jonah Eisen

I am incredibly grateful and greatly humbled to be a recipient of the VAW/VRC merit scholarship through the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation. It will help to make my collegiate and career goals much more achievable and I aim to take advantage of every opportunity that the scholarship opens for me. I plan to double major in Environmental Sciences and Spanish at the University of Iowa, with the intent of eventually working in some capacity for the National Park Service. In the early years of a career with the NPS, it is likely that I will not possess an overabundance of money, making student loans difficult to pay off. However, the Wings Over American Scholarship Foundation and VAW/VRC has greatly helped to ease the financial burden. Without this scholarship, it would be significantly more challenging to finance my undergraduate education. It is tremendously satisfying to see my work in high school pay off. I would like to thank the donors of the WOASF and VAW/VRC for their generous contributions that give back to the Naval Aviation community and make goals like mine more attainable.
