Matthew Mytych

At a very young age, my parents instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance. Since then, I have worked unceasingly in and outside of school to help better the future for myself and for others. I will be attending the Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University where I will be studying Mechanical Engineering. I am immensely grateful for the Wings Over America and VAW scholarships, as they will help to alleviate some of the financial burden for my family and myself. This will allow me to focus more intently on my academics and other opportunities. The brave sacrifices of all the men and women who serve and have served our country are immeasurable. I am also thankful for my mother’s sacrifice with her twenty years of service, which has now allowed me to receive this generous gift to be used for my education. I plan to continue my growth not only in the academic field but also by continuing to expand my reach through service to help those in need.
