I am incredibly honored and humbled to have received the VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship. This will allow me to continue to pursue my college education with less of a financial burden. With this decreased financial burden, I will be able to take full advantage of the opportunities presented to me at UCLA. This will expand my academic capabilities in higher education and allow me to widen my network to expand the opportunities available to me after graduation. It means so much to have the support of the WINGS Over America Scholarship Foundation as well as VVOSA behind me. I am grateful for the flexibility that this scholarship provides in allowing me to pursue volunteer opportunities as well as unpaid internships instead of feeling obligated to work more paid hours to cover tuition. Thank you so much again to everyone involved in the process of allocating these scholarships.
