Madalyn Ciganovich

I am incredibly grateful and honored to have received the 2022 VAW/VRC Merit: Bear Ace 603 scholarship. This scholarship will help me achieve my future goals and ease some of the financial burdens of college. I will be majoring in International Studies at the University of Miami, where I hope to gain many opportunities to advance my education. I have worked hard all throughout high school to earn good grades, but also to be involved as much as I can in my school. To receive this award shows me that working hard pays off a tremendous amount. I will continue to put 100% of myself into school during my college years and to be involved in my school in many other ways as well. As a military child I have experienced both the hardships and fortunate times, and I believe that it caused me to become a stronger person. I feel the continued support of the military community through this award and will be forever appreciative. The VAW/VRC Merit scholarship exemplifies what it means to be a part of the military community by always creating opportunities and support for everybody. I am proud to be a part of something so much greater that the scholarship itself, but of an organization that that truly brings meaning into people’s lives.
