I am ectatic to receive a VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship which will enable me to pursue my dreams without the overhanging dread of financial issues. This will greatly contribute to the pursuit of my dream to become a surgeon to help others. It means so much to me to have support from the airmen and the communities around them. Throughout my life, my father has inspired me to soar to new heights academically, and this scholarship is a showcase of the direct support that his career is providing to me. I will work to ensure I make the most of this scholarship through both academic and extracurricular rigor.
