Meghan Velotas

I am so thankful and honored to have received a 2024 scholarship from the Wings Over America Foundation as a tangible presentation of my dedication and hard work. Receiving a 2024 scholarship allows me to continue to grow as a global citizen through higher education and to further my knowledge of international relations in a globally focused, liberal arts structure provided by the College of William & Mary’s Joint Degree Program. In addition to the support the scholarship provides in terms of my ability to focus on school, it also aids me in exploring further opportunities to be a more well-rounded person by connecting with others and learning outside of the realm of academics. The support that this scholarship represents from the VAW/VAR Merit Scholarship Program only strengthens my resolve to pursue a career of service to the United States in the foreign service and to change my own corner of the world by supporting and aiding others, just like I have been supported in my journey.
