Grayson Slentz

Receiving a Wings scholarship means a lot to me because it shows me that the military community, I have been a part of my entire life has acknowledged the hard work I have done in my academic and social career up until now. A fun fact about me is that I was on the Student-to-Student orientation team all four years of high school in Coronado, and I was fortunate enough to work closely with the Navy to welcome new students. This is a huge part of who I have become in college, and I have the military to thank for that. I am so thankful to be receiving a fantastic education from Xavier University, and being able to help my parents out with tuition is super cool. I am glad I can do that for them. As I look to the future, I am excited about the opportunities that this scholarship will open up for me. It will provide the financial support I need to pursue my dream of attending graduate school for education after my graduation in 2025, and ultimately, to make a positive impact in the field of education.
