Ava Froberg

I am very honored and grateful to receive scholarships from both the VAW/VRC Memorial and Merit Scholarship Fund and the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation. These scholarships will allow me to continue my studies of mathematics at Columbia University in New York City without stressing about finances and the cost of college. I have always been studious and school-oriented, so seeing my hard work payoff is extremely gratifying. I will continue to push myself and expand my knowledge as much as I am able to throughout college. Having my dad in the Navy means moving frequently for all of my life up until now, but it also means I gain access to an amazing community of people who are willing to help each other and support one another. Thank you so much to the generous donors for this scholarship and the opportunities that it brings me. It greatly eases the financial burden on my family and allows us to have a stress-free 2025-26 school year. This is not just a scholarship; it’s a representation of the military community coming together.
