Hannah Carmen

I am incredibly grateful to have received a scholarship from the VAW/VRC Merit scholarship for 2024. I am currently pursuing a degree from Drexel University in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Product Design. As a member of my school’s Division I Swimming and Diving team, balancing my academic endeavors with my rigorous training and competition schedules can be overwhelming at times, but is made possible through the generosity of this scholarship. I currently serve as the President-Elect on my school’s NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and I have been elected as the Social Media Coordinator for our chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This scholarship has helped ease my financial burden and allowed me to involve myself in these leadership positions. I am honored to have been recognized for my academic performance and community service, and I will continue to strive to represent the VAW/VRC Merit to the best of my ability. I truly appreciate the impact that this scholarship has made and recognize the incredible opportunity it has given me to fully dedicate myself to earning my degree.
