Joshua Knicely

I am honored to have been selected to receive the VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship. I am pleased to accept it. Being recognized for all of my hard work in school and other extracurricular activities is a tremendous encouragement to me as I continue my academic career at West Virginia University. Having help with the financial burden of college will make it much easier to maintain my high academic standards. I plan on studying engineering, and this support will take some of the stress off of my shoulders, allowing me to achieve my life and career goals. I truly appreciate the investment that the donors to this foundation have made for my future, and I will make the most out of this opportunity. I am also honored that my father’s time and dedication spent in his time in the Navy is being recognized even years later through this support for my education. I am excited to represent the values of the VAW/VRC Merit scholarship and will uphold the excellence expected of this award.
