About Kaitlyn
Being a college student is HARD but being a college athlete who is able to maintain top grades and athletic performance is even harder. In my freshmen year, I endured many struggles as a college athlete, but as a previous winner of a scholarship from the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation, I received help to fund my degree which only further amplified my passion for my sport and my degree. Scholarships like these help me fund my education, giving me the opportunity to study a major that I love and compete as a college athlete while easing the burden that is funding this education. Following graduation, I hope to work in cybersecurity for the National Security Agency. I can only do this by graduating with stunning academic performance and dedication. A scholarship from an organization such as the Wings Over America Foundation only pushes me closer to my goal and motivates me to keep trying my hardest every day no matter the barriers I face. I want to thank the VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship Foundation, and all the people who make these scholarships possible. You are helping so many people follow their dreams by funding education.
