Going to college is an adventure, so much so that people call it “the best time of your life”. But it is important to remember that like any adventure, college is filled with challenges as well as joys. There are the classes, the pressure, the new sense of independence, and to top if all off: the expenses. A young person pursuing their education should not have to have this crushing worry in the back of their mind. This is what this scholarship means to me. As a future college athlete and chemical engineering major, I know I am going to be facing many challenges in the next four years. With the help of the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation, the challenge of expenses is eased. Education is a gift, and I am so thankful to have been chosen for this unique opportunity that will help me reach my degree.
