Lauren Stone

I am thankful and honored to once again be receiving a VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship for the 2021-2022 school year. As a current student in pre-health sciences at the University of Washington, I have been able to explore the possibilities present fort me in both the healthcare and science fields and hope to enter the Medical Laboratory Science major next year. I am extremely grateful to have received a scholarship both last year and this year and would like to thank the Wings Over American Scholarship Foundation and VAW/VRC Merit scholarship programs for their continued recognition and support of my academic and personal efforts. I would also like to acknowledge the Hawkeye community’s presence in my life and their constant positive influence and support. With this scholarship, I hope to further my education and be able to one day give back to my community through medical research and laboratory work.
