Luke Galvan

I am so grateful to receive the VAW/VRC Merit Scholarship, and this means a lot to me. First, I want to represent myself as a worthy person who will use this scholarship for value. I am planning on going to the University of Idaho and majoring in PGA Golf Management. Golf is my passion, and I am excited to go into a field that has experts and professionals that share a similar passion. I will be receiving a Business degree along with a PGA certificate. Second, the military has always held a high regard in my family. My dad served 24 years in the Navy and has set an example of sacrifice for your country and achieving your dreams. Even though I am not following his footsteps into the military, I plan to lead and serve like the example he has shown throughout his life. Whether it be in my community or my career, I plan to lead others and to be a mentor. Finally, I appreciate the opportunities and paths a college education will give me. I am honored that I have been awarded this scholarship, and it will be a help financially in achieving my degree. Thank you to the VAW/VRC Merit Association.
