As someone who takes pride in my academic achievements and always strives to be more involved, receiving this scholarship means a great deal to me both academically and personally. This past year has been full of unexpected challenges, but I am looking forward to the upcoming semester and the many opportunities that my first year of college will bring. All these things have been made possible for me by my family, who continually offer their support, and those who founded this scholarship and therefore recognize the value of a college education. College does not just prepare young men and women for their careers, but for adulthood and how to be actively involved members of their communities. I plan to maximize my time at college to the fullest and then continue to give back to the community after I graduate, just as you have given back through your generous scholarship. Thank you!
