Matt Slentz

Receiving this scholarship truly means a lot to me! Growing up in a Navy community, I have always been so proud of my family, friends, and country for all they do and represent. Now, as I prepare for a new chapter in my life, this community has shown me that they are also proud of the work that I have done to represent them. The Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation and VAW/VRC Scholarship Foundation have been so generous to help fund my education. With this group in my corner, I feel even more motivated to seize what the future has in store. I will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the fall to study biological sciences, where I plan to continue my academic success. From there, I hope to move on to dental school and help brighten the smiles of the world. I am excited for this journey, but it will not be an easy one or a cheap one. With that being said, I cannot thank VVOSA enough for the financial assistance and faith these extraordinary communities have put in me.
