Nicole Zavoiko

I was elated when I found out that I had been selected for a VAW/VRC Merit scholarship. To me it is the difference between going to a school of my choice or to a cheaper college. It gives me the freedom to pursue the best educational opportunity for me instead of having to settle for an inferior education. Now I can prepare myself to do greater things to help a growing society without a fear of lacking the funds for my education. My dream to expand the human race’s knowledge of the universe is now more of a reality. I am excited to see where my education takes me and how I will be able to use what I learn to work with other scientists and personnel to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos.
