Sam Cassetta

I am extremely thankful to be receiving the Wings Over America scholarship, I know many qualified candidates applies for this scholarship, so I feel grateful and honored to receive this award. The scholarship takes me closer to my goal of earning an engineering degree and using the knowledge to help make the world a better place. There are so many ways I could apply science to help the world continue to advance but to also take care of our environment. I hope to help design environmentally friendly roads made from recycled asphalt, developing more efficient solar panels, and designing engines so that boats and planes do not have to burn fossil fuels. We only have one planet to live on and it is important we do our best to keep earth as healthy as we can. This scholarship will give me the ability to make a difference in the world as soon as I graduate, and I am very appreciative for this award. Thank you for the opportunity.
