Zachariah Brewer

My dad, Bradley Brewer, is my role model. I am so proud of everything he accomplished during his 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Through his service and hard work, he has allowed me to benefit during my college years. I am so honored and blessed to be a recipient of this award for the second year in a row. To me, this award means more than just the financial aid I am receiving. It is a representation of the sacrifices of those in the VAW/VRC community. I am forever grateful and in debt to those like my dad, who served their country and gave their all to preserve and protect us. It truly is a privilege to be a recipient of an award with the prestige and meaning of this one. This scholarship will allow me to cover some of my expenses at the University of South Florida, where I am attending until 2026. I am majoring in Business Management, but I am still unsure of what specific direction I will go. However, this scholarship will allow me to complete my time at USF and keep my options open. Over these past two years, the VAW/VRC administered scholarship fund has made a huge difference in the future of my education, and I hope that the other recipients have the same experience.
